Founded in 2020, Abide to Love was birthed from the Sotolongo family's pursuit of and surrender to God, allowing Him to form in them His heart for the world around us.
Richard and Monica Sotolongo began this organization as an expression of their family's journey with Jesus. Compelled by compassion to love the hurting, broken, and abandoned, they set out to love and care for the broken world around them. For years, they hosted orphan children from other countries. They served as foster parents in their own community. They have adopted three children with special needs from Ukraine. They moved their family to the inner city to love on the poor. They also served as missionaries and have supported orphanages and children ministries in multiple countries.
All of this was done from an identity of sonship, through the spirit of adoption, that is received when placing our faith in Jesus Christ. Monica and Richard have found that the deeper we go into our Heavenly Father's love, the more natural it becomes to lay our lives down to love others.

Their life's goal is to not only continue loving others, but to disciple the body of Christ to do so as well, by equipping and activating the church into abiding ever more deeply in the Father's love.

Richard currently serves as the chairman of the board for Abide to Love, Inc. Monica currently serves as the executive director.

Our Core Values
Righteousness
Making wrong things right
Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it. Through the gift of salvation we can become the righteousness of God. In Him all things become new.
Outreach
Being available to love the one in front of you
God is always working to reach the world and He searches for those He can use to do so. All He needs from us is our availability. Whether it's our neighbors, or serving others globally, we are intentionally available for God's love to flow through us.
Discipleship
Teaching others to do the same
As Christians our calling is not only to love God and love others, but to teach others to do the same. Discipleship is modeling to others a lifestyle of ministry, and encouraging them to become the hands and feet of Jesus in their everyday life.
